Hereditary?
First let me say thank you to all of you for your prayers during my surgery. I am slowly recovering and dealing with all of the issues that go along with a major surgery. Please continue to pray as I heal and gain strength.
I went to the surgeon today for my pre-op appointment. She told [...]

Choppy Waters
A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be [...]

Gossip Girl?
I have never been one to gossip. Sure, periodically, there has been the occasional slip here and there. Nevertheless, I managed to stay off the “vine” and out of it (at least on a full-time basis).
Well, lately, I seem to ask one too many questions about…..whatever, and before I know it…well you can piece the rest together. My innocent [...]

I have connected with old classmates, found long lost friends and family, and it helps me stay in touch with many people that I wouldn’t ordinarily be in contact with daily. My friends list reaches from next [...]

Tar Balls and Oil on the Beach
Our recent trip to the Gulf of Mexico was marred by the BP oil spill. On the day we arrived, the beautiful white sands were covered with dark globs of oil. The next day cleanup crews arrived to begin daily vigils cleaning up the beach so that we could enjoy it most of the week.
Everyday [...]

Memories No One Can Steal
Someone stole my camera when I was on vacation. The camera was a display unit that I had purchased at a fraction of the cost. The pictures were priceless.
Looking at the last scenes of Tamarindo, Costa Rica during the hour long ride to the Liberian International Airport, I was grateful for more memories made and shared with [...]

Grand time in Grand Rivers!
This past weekend, I enjoyed Grand Rivers, the village between the lakes! Located on Lake Barkley and the Kentucky Lake, Grand Rivers is indeed a village filled with authentic charm. Moreover, the people of Grand Rivers Baptist Church provide an extra bit of charm and warmth themselves.
Pastor Mark Gill invited me to speak this past Sunday during what [...]
