Ask and Receive

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in FAITH without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6, HCSB [emphasis added]

I have had people tell me they wish God would speak out loud to them like He did to the prophets in the Old Testament. Well, I tell you what, sometimes God’s Word jumps out at me so hard that it’s like He IS speaking out loud to me! But it’s only those times when I am really paying attention, listening to His still small voice, and really seeking Him that He reveals Himself to me. Something He sent me is James 1:5-6. This verse has just been jumping out and I know God is drawing me into a deeper relationship with Him. Whatever my doubt, fear, anxiety, stress, any wisdom that I lack, I can ask God and He will GENEROUSLY give me wisdom on the matter. He will encourage me. He will strengthen my faith. The more time I spend with Jesus, the more I love Him. I feel more joyous, at peace, in love with the One who calls me beloved! He calls us beloved!

Thank You Jesus for calling us beloved! For loving us so much that You came down and died so we can have this personal, REAL relationship with You! I am so thankful that in my time of need, You are right there drying every tear! I love You, Lord and I praise You for Your righteousness and holiness. In Your precious name I pray, Amen.
