Serving Well

I Peter 4:10

“God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”

We glorify God when we use our spiritual giftedness in serving others. If you are new to women’s ministry or are struggling to find your niche, I want to encourage you to begin with serving the ladies around you. Pray for each other, study the Scriptures together, and reach out to others in your communities. Small groups are a wonderful way to use your spiritual gifts to form relationships. As we grow in our groups together and help others find their spiritual giftedness we will watch the body of Christ grow as we serve one another.

The Kentucky Baptist Convention has many resources to offer your women’s ministry. You can check out a variety of Bible studies and connect with leaders like Shelly Johns White at [email protected] for guidance on how to start or improve your women’s ministry. When I began to serve in our women’s ministry I started with trainings such as Super Saturday’s to help me get equipped. The training I received gave me the tools I needed to go back into my church and begin serving. For more information on future Super Saturday trainings go to www.kybaptist.org to find a location close to your area. Super Saturday’s taught me how to start a women’s ministry as well as take our current women’s ministry to the next level.

Serving well,

Shana

Shana, I remember first meeting this extremely shy young lady who hardly talked. Nevertheless, God kept placing you on ny heart. You have always been an authentic follower of Christ. God has made my heart glad as I watch you grow to serve with more and more confidence, strength and urgency in Him.
